The Iguazu Falls consists of two national parks, one in Foz de Iguazu (Brazil) and the other one in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina). The curious thing is that although one only sees the falls as the main attraction, the park has a size of 252,982 hectares (67,720 on the Argentine side and 185,262 on the Brazilian side).
These falls in Argentina and Brazil managed to attract so much attention that almost at the same time they were declared National Parks (1934 in Argentina and 1939 in Brazil). And after some years and millions of visitors fascinated by the landscape and the sound of this natural attraction, UNESCO declared them as World Heritage Site in 1984
Since 1972, we have been offering unforgettable panoramic flights over the magnificent Foz do Iguaçu.

Itaipu Binacional is the result of a partnership between the governments of Brazil and Paraguay. The company started in 1974. Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam is the world’s second-largest operational hydroelectric power plant in terms of installed power. With an installed generation capacity of 14GW, the plant is operated by Itaipu Binacional and located on the border between Brazil and Paraguay. Energy generated by Itaipu helps to meet the demands of the two countries. Approximately 90% of the energy generated by the plant is used by Brazil.
The Itaipu dam and the hydroelectric plant are on the Paraná River.

These are very simple precautions that if you want to enjoy and make your trips unforgettable, check them out:
Be prepared for the tropical climate of the region, wearing light clothing, sunscreen, cap or a hat during the day. For tours at the Iguazu Falls, bring waterproof clothes or rain coats, as you can get wet by the mist on the trails near the waterfalls.
When visiting natural parks and protected areas, respect local rules and regulations to preserve the beauty and integrity of the environment. Do not leave trash and do not feed or disturb the local wildlife.
In a tropical climate like Foz do Iguaçu, it is essential to stay hydrated during the day. Always carry a bottle of water with you and drink regularly, especially during outdoor activities.
Foz do Iguaçu offers a variety of unique activities and attractions. Be open to trying new adventures, such as boat trips to Iguaçu Falls, trails in the Atlantic forest and visits to local indigenous communities, for a complete experience of the region.

We are a small group of three, two in our 60s and one in her 70s travelling to Iguazu for the first time. Our guide, Sindei was extremely professional and polite as well as very knowledgeable and considerate. He speaks excellent English. He was able to guide us through the options at Iguazu Falls, the border transfer, the hotel, and recommendations for dining. In all these area he was excellent.
Sidnei is a wonderful tour guide and human being, he made our day tour of the Falls in Brazil and Argentina so special. He picked us up from our hotel at 07.30 and headed straight to the Brazilian side, with such spectacular views and then to the Argentinian side with equally lovely views of the Falls. He was excellent company explaining all the details of the Falls, taking and sending us pictures he took during the day of us.
His tour is very highly recommended by us, do yourself a favour and take it.
We had a great time with Sidnei on this day trip. Sidnei led a great tour from pre-trip communication, to pick up, to planning the day to customize our schedule, and to final drop off at the airport. There were many things Sidnei did that were above and beyond what’s described. We thought Sidnei had the perfect balance of sharing his knowledge and giving us space enjoy the spectacular hikes and views. He was very knowledgeable of the area, the best trails, the most efficient way to get around, and most importantly to us, where to take the best photos. I don’t write these reviews often, but I am more happy to responsibly recommend Sidnei here.
What a great tour experience. Our guide Sidnai was wonderful. A true gentleman explaining everything so well, giving us options to consider, picked us up in time in a great car and fantastic English. I highly recommend him if visiting - we went to both sides of the falls and the bot tour which I highly recommended.
This was a great tour. Sidnei Is a professional guide who provided us with background information and answered all of our questions. He expertly recommended other tours that would fit our interests.
We hired Sidnei for a 2 day tour of Iguazu National park. His knowledge and years of experience as a guide made our vacation run smoothly. We recommend Sidnei to anyone who wants a stressless tour.
